ASUS has launched the Ascent QN10, a mini PC built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite platform. The system carries an 80 TOPS Neural Processing Unit and is positioned as the first agentic AI mini PC of its kind. It aims at creators, developers, and enterprises that prefer to run AI workloads on the device itself rather than sending everything to the cloud.
The machine packs an 18-core Qualcomm Oryon CPU and Qualcomm Adreno X2-90 graphics. Its Hexagon NPU delivers up to 80 TOPS of on-device AI performance. That capacity supports tasks such as real-time language translation, content generation, video enhancement, AI assistants, and workflow automation.
Compact Size and Core Specs
The Ascent QN10 measures 130 × 130 × 39.96 mm and weighs 0.75 kg. ASUS states the volume sits under 0.7 litres, making it 86 percent smaller than typical five-litre desktop systems. A 180 W power adapter ships with the unit, which is finished in silver.
Memory options include 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5x, running at 8533 MHz or 9600 MHz depending on the configuration. Storage ranges from 512 GB to 1 TB via M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSDs. The system runs Windows 11 Home or Pro and qualifies as a Copilot+ PC.
Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. A 2.5G Ethernet port handles wired networking.
Front ports consist of one USB 2.0 Type-A, one USB 3.0 Gen 2 Type-A, two USB4 Type-C, and one audio jack. On the rear you’ll find two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB4 Type-C, one HDMI, one RJ45 LAN, and the DC-in connector.
On-Device AI and Hybrid Workloads
The design keeps AI processing close to the user. Lower latency and stronger privacy for sensitive data are the main gains. At the same time the mini PC can combine local processing with cloud-based AI services, routing jobs according to performance needs, power draw, and operating cost.
Developers get access to Qualcomm AI Hub, which supplies more than 175 pre-optimised AI models.
Security Features and Pricing
ASUS equips the Ascent QN10 with a chip-to-cloud security architecture that spans hardware, firmware, the operating system, and cloud environments. Key elements include fTPM 2.0 and Microsoft Pluton for credential, encryption, and identity protection.
The 16 GB RAM / 512 GB storage model starts at $1,349. The 32 GB version with the same storage capacity is priced at $1,699. Both configurations are available in the United States from September 17, 2026 through Best Buy, Newegg, B&H Photo Video, and the ASUS eShop. No pricing or availability details have been released for other regions.
