Sony has confirmed the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for September. The lineup features Sniper Elite: Resistance as the clear standout, joined by MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and the indie JRPG Chained Echoes.

All four titles become available on September 1 and stay in the catalog until October 5.

Sniper Elite: Resistance Takes the Spotlight

Sniper Elite: Resistance is a World War II stealth shooter. Digital Trends scored it 7 out of 10. The game sticks close to the formula of Sniper Elite 5, but the series’ mix of stealth, sprawling levels, and over-the-top killcams still lands effectively.

The story runs parallel to the events of Sniper Elite 5. This time Harry Hawker leads the charge instead of Karl Fairburne. He works with the French Resistance in occupied France to shut down another Nazi superweapon plot. The narrative itself isn’t especially memorable. Level design carries the experience.

Eight main missions unfold across large environments. Players can tackle objectives multiple ways—picking off guards from long range or slipping through buildings and alternate paths. The full campaign supports co-op. Axis Invasion lets another sniper drop into a player’s campaign. Competitive multiplayer handles up to 16 players, and a four-player Survival mode offers a less stealth-focused option.

MLB The Show 26 and the Rest of the Lineup

MLB The Show 26 brings Road to the Show and Diamond Dynasty to PS5. PlayStation Plus members also receive a Jump Start Bundle that includes extra packs for both modes.

Chained Echoes stands out as the smaller title worth a closer look. It’s a 16-bit-style JRPG with turn-based combat, pixel art, mechs, and a strong emphasis on exploration. Player opinions on the story have been mixed, yet the combat and side content have drawn consistent praise.

Wobbly Life rounds out the selection. This open-world sandbox leans into goofy physics and supports up to four players either locally or online.

Claim Window for August Games

PlayStation Plus members still have until August 31 to grab the previous month’s titles. Those include Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and Signalis.
