Sony has confirmed the next set of titles heading to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in August. Two stand out right away. Helldivers 2 arrives on the service for the first time. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II follows later in the month.

These games deliver very different experiences, yet both rank among the stronger releases of recent years.

Helldivers 2 Arrives on the Catalog

Helldivers 2 launched in February 2024 and quickly turned into one of the year’s biggest multiplayer successes. More than two years on, it still draws a solid player base. PlayStation does not release active player counts, but SteamDB data shows close to 100,000 players online on PC at the time of writing.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Brings a Different Kind of Adventure

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II sits at the opposite end of the spectrum. It is the sequel to the 2018 critically acclaimed Kingdom Come: Deliverance. This entry is a story-driven, single-player open-world RPG packed with survival and simulation systems. A review described it as a magnificent medieval masterpiece, highlighting the story, freedom of choice, combat, and the scale of its medieval world.

Additional Games Joining the Lineup

Hell is Us is another notable addition. It delivers a darker action-adventure focused on intense melee combat, exploration, and environmental discovery.

Vampire Survivors, the breakout indie hit from 2022, also joins. It features simple controls and steady progression. A basic 30-minute survival run can easily spiral into complete on-screen chaos, making it easy to lose hours.

The rest of the August Game Catalog includes Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash, Two Point Museum, Metro Exodus, and Dying Light 2. PlayStation Plus Premium members also receive Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams and Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire through the Classics Catalog.

Helldivers 2 is available to PlayStation Plus Extra members worldwide starting August 12. The rest of the lineup arrives on August 18 unless Sony indicates otherwise.
