Embracer has given Darksiders 4 and the next Kingdom Come game something close to a release window. It is a wide one. In its Q1 FY 2026/27 report, the company put both titles in its 2027/28 fiscal-year pipeline. That currently points to a launch sometime between April 2027 and March 2028.
Darksiders 4 Is Still a Long Way Off
Darksiders 4 was announced in 2025. Embracer has said little about the project since then. The latest plans confirm it as one of the major releases expected in FY 2027/28, in the same period as titles including Tomb Raider: Catalyst. Tomb Raider: Catalyst is positioned as a follow-up to Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, which is set to launch in 2027.
That placement is not a March 2028 release date. Fiscal 2027/28 runs from April 2027 through March 2028, so the game could arrive at any point inside that span. Embracer’s earlier release documents also list Darksiders 4 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The Next Kingdom Come Game Has No Official Title Yet
Warhorse Studios is working on a new game in the Kingdom Come franchise, according to Embracer’s annual report. The current pipeline puts that project in the same FY 2027/28 window.
Embracer has not officially named it Kingdom Come: Deliverance III. For now, it is better treated as the next game in the series. Warhorse is also developing a separate Middle-earth project, so the studio has more than one major title in progress.
Fellowship Entertainment Wants More Major Releases
The timing fits Embracer’s wider plan. Fellowship Entertainment, the division that houses Kingdom Come, Darksiders, Tomb Raider, and Dead Island, is aiming for a higher cadence of major releases from FY 2027/28 onward. The company expects at least two major games per year with full economics starting in that period.
Darksiders 4 and the next Kingdom Come game are both on the schedule. The window still runs from April 2027 all the way to March 2028, so either title could be a long wait.
