GTA 6 Preload Starts November 10, Requires Up to 212GB

Grand Theft Auto 6 preloads open November 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Rockstar Games has announced different start times for PlayStation and Xbox, with the preload taking up to 212GB of console storage ahead of the November 19 release.

GTA 6 Preload Times for PS5 and Xbox

The PS5 preload begins at midnight in each player’s local time zone. Xbox Series X and Series S share a single worldwide start time: November 10 at 12 a.m. GMT.

The distinction matters when checking the schedule: PlayStation follows local midnight, while Xbox uses GMT for its global rollout.

For players purchasing through retailers, code-in-box versions become available November 12. The game itself launches November 19.

GTA 6 Needs Up to 212GB of Storage

The preload’s size is a substantial consideration for anyone with several games already installed. GTA 6 will occupy up to 212GB on your console, so checking available storage before November 10 is worth doing.

If space is tight, deleting some installed games or moving them to external storage can make room. The announced figure applies to the preload file.

Official GTA 6 Poster and Map Arrive on Launch Day

Rockstar will also make the official cover art poster and map available when GTA 6 launches. Both will be offered as a free download.

Players who want a physical version can purchase a double-sided print from the official Rockstar Store for $0.99. The downloadable option and physical print are scheduled for launch day.

Console Release and Possible PC Version

GTA 6 is currently limited to consoles, with PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S included in the preload announcement. Reports suggest a PC version could arrive next year, but that remains a reported possibility.

Expectations for the release are high. Analysts predict that the game could surpass multiple sales and revenue records, although those forecasts describe anticipated performance.

GTA 6 World, Mature Content, and Music

The game is set to feature a large world with mature material consistent with the series’ direction. That includes drug use and graphic violence.

Rockstar has also shared information about the game’s adaptive original score by Justice. The music announcement includes the single “Pusher,” featuring Gesaffelstein.
