Acer Reveals 1,000Hz Predator XB253Q U1 & New QD-OLED Monitors at IFA 2026

Acer has announced the Predator XB253Q U1, a 24.5-inch esports gaming monitor that runs at a native 1,920 x 1,080 resolution and a 1,000Hz refresh rate. It is part of Acer’s monitor announcements at IFA 2026, alongside new 4K QD-OLED, 5K Mini LED, and more affordable Mini LED models.

The Predator XB253Q U1 joins a very small group of monitors capable of reaching a four-digit refresh rate without reducing resolution below Full HD. Acer had previously announced the Nitro XV273U F5 with a 1,000Hz mode, but that model must switch from 1440p to 720p to reach that refresh rate.

The Predator XB253Q U1 uses a 24.5-inch IPS panel. Acer lists a claimed 0.3ms response time through its VRB Pro blur-reduction technology.

At 1,000Hz, the display can refresh once per millisecond. Reaching the full benefit of that refresh rate, however, requires games and hardware capable of delivering extremely high frame rates.

How Acer’s 1,000Hz Monitor Compares With LG

LG’s UltraGear 25G590B was the first gaming monitor to offer a native 1,000Hz refresh rate without dropping below Full HD resolution. It can also be overclocked to 1,100Hz.

Acer lists 1,000Hz as the maximum refresh rate for the Predator XB253Q U1. The Acer monitor is expected to cost $1,099.99 when it reaches North America in the first quarter of 2027. LG’s UltraGear 25G590B launched at $999.99.

Acer Predator X32 V3 4K QD-OLED Monitor

Acer also introduced the Predator X32 V3, a 31.5-inch 4K QD-OLED monitor with a 180Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms response time.

The monitor uses Acer’s Penta Tandem panel structure and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space. It is set to launch in North America and Europe in the first quarter of 2027, priced at $899.99 in North America and €899 in Europe.

Acer Nitro XV275X P 5K Mini LED Monitor

The Nitro XV275X P combines a 27-inch 5K panel with 2,304-zone Mini LED backlighting. It can run at 5K with a 165Hz refresh rate or switch to 1440p at 330Hz through DFR.

Additional features include DisplayHDR 1400, 90W USB-C, and a KVM switch.

Acer plans to release the Nitro XV275X P in the first quarter of 2027. It will cost $1,199.99 in North America and €1,199 in Europe.

Acer Nitro XV275U Z2 Mini LED Gaming Monitor

The Nitro XV275U Z2 is Acer’s lower-priced Mini LED option. It has a 27-inch panel with 1,152 dimming zones and supports several resolution and refresh-rate modes:
